My Personal Message to You!

In the beginning…

employers used resume screening software known as ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) to simply match keywords in order to index and score candidates. This simple process saved incredible amounts of time and money by reducing the time needed to review a large number of applicants from weeks to minutes and was quickly adopted by HR professionals. Typically, only the five highest scores were selected for interviews. Although this did produce a stream of qualified candidates, it was apparent the best candidates were sometimes not even interviewed, having been eliminated by the resume-scoring process!

Today, ATS evaluates your Social Media Profile, Your Resume, and much more…

Today, nearly all employers and recruiters use ATS at various levels. Software costs have been reduced significantly while at the same time, capabilities are amazing. For example, using Artificial Intelligence (AI-driven) ATS can fully analyze a stack of 100’s of resumes, including an evaluation of a candidate’s social media profile, conduct preliminary interviews with the best candidates, and set an interview appointment, all before the hiring manager has even seen the resume!

Today’s ATS systems are proactive!

Equally impressive capabilities exist for proactively finding desirable candidates not currently in the job market. For example, a massive database of millions of candidates is available for custom sourcing via LinkedIn. It is clear that an ATS-optimized resume is essential not only to gain a competitive advantage but to show up in those searches producing “out of the blue – once in a lifetime” job opportunities!

Best Practices

Modern resumes need to adhere to current best practices including graphic format, and page limitations. If your background is extensive, you can solve space limitations with a well-written ATS-optimized resume with links to a personal webpage for the presentation of further detailed information.

Let’s get started by running a free ATS scan against your existing resume to see how it stacks up against other competing resumes.
