Winning in the Face of Intimidation

Introduction

This is a modern game simulation designed to make you a better negotiator. Based on the negotiation strategies and principles taught by Robert Ringer in his best selling book Winning Through Intimidation.  Important note: The author did not actually write about being a bully, but rather how to win even when facing intimidation. An important distinction!

I would suggest starting out in text mode, and as you become proficient switching over to voice for realism.  I created this simulation for three reasons, to prove learning can be fun, to learn or improve negotiating skills, and to demosnstrate the creativeness of AI.

Have fun with this!

Scenario Library, Ready for Simulation

You will deal with
Type-1, the Overt Predator;
Type-2; the Deceptive Opportunist
Type-3 the Well Meaning Competitor

Real world application of negotiation strategies, including:
Posture Power – Simulate situations where your tone, positioning, and “image power” sway the outcome more than facts.
Leapfrog Theory Application – Role-play skipping over competitors into higher-stake deals.
Theory of Next

Core Technique Drills

Posture Power – Simulate situations where your tone, positioning, and “image power” sway the outcome more than facts.

Leapfrog Theory Application – Role-play skipping over competitors into higher-stake deals.

Theory of Next – Quick reset after a loss; pivot to the next deal under simulated time pressure.

Game-Style Simulations

Deal Desk Mode – GPT feeds you a scenario (“You’re at the table with a Type 2 seller…”) and you negotiate in real-time.

Role-Reversal Mode – You play the intimidator; GPT plays the cautious rookie.

Shadow Coach – After each turn, GPT tags your move with:

✅ Alignment to Ringer’s principle

⚠ Missed opportunity

💡 Suggested stronger move

Instant Debrief

After each simulation:

Summary – What happened and why.

Principles Used – From the book’s “realities” and “theories.”

Negotiation Confidence Score – 1–10 scale with reasoning.

Next Drill Recommendation – Targeted practice.

Notes

Stay in-character. The AI will stay in Ringer’s character as a confident, slightly sardonic negotiation coach during all simulations.

Simulations will follow the realities, theories, and archetypes in the book (Type 1, Type 2, Type 3, Posture Power, Theory of Next, Leapfrog Theory, etc.).

Suggestion: Start in text mode and as you become proficient switch to real time voice.

Play the Game!
